Pendragon is about a boy named Bobby Pendragon, a fourteen year-old, who has the best life a teenager could imagine. He has great parents, he is popular at is school, his grades in school stay high, he is the best basketball player in his school, and he just found out the girl of his dreams has a crush on him! Everything was great until Uncle Press showed up. Uncle Press takes him to a subway where his adventures begin. He goes through a door, which is called a flume, to a territory, or another place outside of our universe, called Denduron. There, Bobby finds out that Deduron is in the mists of a way. The Bedoowan, who are industrialized and strong fighters, rule the poor, defenseless Milago. Bobby, Uncle Press, and two other Travelers, people who can go through flumes, named Osa and Loor must stop the Bedoowan. Unfortunately, the Bedoowan are
led by another powerful man, Saint Dane. With Osa dead, Loor and Bobby find out that Saint Dane gave the Milago a terrible, but lethal, weapon, called tak, that will destroy the Bedoowan. Loor and Bobby are puzzled, why would Saint Dane help the Milago? They find out that Saint Dane wants to rule Halla, basically everything, and wants the territory of Denduron, and all the other territories, to be corrupt. All of this is written in secret journals to his best friends, Mark and Courtney. I hope, by reading this summary, you will read the book.
Rating
I would rate this book a 9.5 out of 10 because of the author's interesting way in which he describes the way to travel to other territories and how the universe works. Also, even though it switches point of view between Earth and Denduron, it is not confusing because the author says who is speaking at the beginning of the chapter.
Donald Kirk would rate this book a 9 out of 10 because it is a great book and he loves the series
